An assistant that knows your manual, inside your app

You don’t need a website to read: upload a file with your manual, FAQs or procedures, and the guide answers from there. Put it in a web app, a dashboard, an online manual or a mobile app.

Where it’s used

Anywhere your users need an answer and there’s no website to read.

Inside business software

Contextual help for people who use your software every day, without opening a PDF manual.

In a customer dashboard

It answers questions about the features and procedures of the private area.

In an online manual

Instead of keyword search, an answer in plain language.

In a mobile app

On iOS and Android, through the API or inside a WebView.

How to set it up

From the panel, by adding a new assistant of the “Web app” or “App only” type.

  1. 1

    Create the guide

You just give it a name: there’s no domain to enter and no website to read.

  2. 2

    Upload the manual

A .md or .txt file of up to about 500,000 characters: instructions, FAQs, procedures. To update it, upload the new version.

  3. 3

    Choose the look

The bubble can show the avatar or a question mark in your colour: handy as a “help” button inside a dashboard.

  4. 4

    Add it to your app

Copy the code ready for your environment and paste it where you need it.

Code for every environment

In the panel you’ll find code ready for each environment, with your key. It’s always the same guide: only the form of the code changes.

Web apps and dashboards

The same tag as for websites, pasted into your application’s layout.

React and Vue

A ready-made example for component-based applications.

API

Examples in cURL, JavaScript, Python, Swift and Kotlin: the app sends the question and shows the answer.

WebView

In a native app you can also show the guide inside a WebView.

Integrations

Just the file, or pages too

Normally the guide answers only from the file you upload. If you connect pages to it as well, you choose the order: file first, pages first, or only one of the two.

Have a website and an app?

They’re managed as two separate assistants: one for the website, which learns from the pages, and a guide for the app, which learns from the file. Two codes, each with its own look and source, in the same account.

We use it too

The Interlyo panel has a guide trained on our manual: it answers customers while they set up their assistant.

What it costs

See pricing

Each question

Same as the chat: €0.05 for each question and its answer, or within your subscription allowance.

Uploading the manual

Free, every time you update it too.

No fixed fee

The guide has no fixed costs: you only pay for the questions it gets.

Questions about the AI guide

FAQ
What format does the file need to be?

A .md or .txt text file, up to about 500,000 characters. Markdown helps: headings and sections make the answers more precise.

Does the manual stay private?

Yes. The file is never published: the guide only uses it to answer, and the data stays on servers in the European Union.

Can it carry out actions in my app?

No: it reads and answers. It isn’t connected to your data or your systems, and that’s a deliberate security choice.

Can I see what users ask?

Yes, in the panel, just like website chats. It’s the quickest way to see which parts of your software need better explanations.

Does it answer in other languages?

Yes: it answers in the language of whoever is writing, even if the manual is in English only.

Can I use bookings in the guide?

No: bookings are available for website assistants.
